Relaxed Cambridgeshire Wedding Photographer

Natural, candid wedding photography for camera-shy couples who want to enjoy their day without spending hours posing for photographs.

Natural Wedding Photography Across Cambridgeshire

I’m based in St Neots and photograph weddings throughout Cambridgeshire, including Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely, Peterborough and the surrounding villages and countryside.

My approach is relaxed and candid, allowing you to enjoy the day while I document the laughter, nerves, happy tears and wonderfully unpredictable moments happening around you.

I’ll offer clear guidance when you need it, particularly during couple and group photographs, but I won’t constantly interrupt genuine moments or turn your wedding into an all-day photoshoot. The aim is to give you photographs that feel natural and personal while leaving you free to be present with the people you invited.

Wedding Photography That Lets You Stay Present

You shouldn’t have to choose between beautiful wedding photographs and actually experiencing your wedding.

For most of the day, I work quietly around what is already happening. I photograph the conversations, reactions, hugs and small moments you may not notice at the time, without repeatedly asking you to stop and recreate them.

When guidance is useful, I’ll give it. I’ll help organise family photographs, find suitable light and make couple portraits feel straightforward rather than awkward. Once we have what you need, you can return to your guests instead of spending the afternoon performing for the camera.

Real Weddings Across Cambridgeshire

I’ve photographed weddings in Cambridge city centre as well as celebrations closer to home around St Neots and St Ives. Each setting brings different timings, lighting and practical considerations, so I adapt the photography around the venue and the way the day is actually unfolding.

Cambridge City Weddings

I’ve photographed civil ceremonies at Cambridge Register Office, a church ceremony at St Andrew the Great and Saoirse and Triss’s winter wedding at The Gonville Hotel.

City weddings can move between several locations, sometimes with limited time and busy surroundings. I’ll plan around the journey, ceremony restrictions and available light while keeping the photography relaxed and allowing you to enjoy Cambridge rather than treating it as an outdoor studio.

Weddings Around St Neots and St Ives

Closer to home, I’ve photographed weddings at St Neots Golf Club and the Pike & Eel Hotel near St Ives.

These venues offer more space for family photographs and relaxed couple portraits while keeping everything close to the celebration. We can use the surroundings without disappearing for ages, then get you back to your guests and whatever is happening next.

“We had the most amazing experience with Liuba. She made me and my husband feel so comfortable having our photos taken, even though we are both very camera-shy. We 100% recommend her. Thank you for capturing our special day.”

Wedding Photography Coverage for Different Kinds of Days

Not every wedding needs the same amount of photography. You might want a couple of hours for an intimate ceremony, coverage through the main parts of the day, or the full story from preparations to the evening celebrations.

I offer flexible two-hour, six-hour and full-day wedding photography coverage, with help planning the timings around what matters most to you.

Cambridgeshire Wedding Photography FAQs

Where in Cambridgeshire do you photograph weddings?

I’m based in St Neots and photograph weddings throughout Cambridgeshire, including Cambridge, Huntingdon, St Ives, Ely, Peterborough and the surrounding villages and countryside. I also travel beyond the county for weddings across England and Wales.

What if we feel awkward in photographs?

That is completely normal, and most couples tell me the same thing. You won’t be expected to know how to pose or perform for the camera. I’ll give you simple guidance when needed and let you focus on each other for the rest.

Do you take formal family and group photographs?

Yes. You can give me a list beforehand if that helps, tell me which combinations matter to you, or decide on a few groups during the day. I’ll organise and guide everyone so you get the photographs you want without the process taking over the celebration.

Does it matter if you haven’t photographed our venue before?

No. I research unfamiliar venues beforehand and arrive with enough time to assess the light, surroundings and practical options. Wedding days and weather conditions change even at familiar venues, so being able to adapt matters more than repeatedly using the same locations.

How long do couple photographs take?

They do not need to occupy a large part of the day. Around 15 to 20 minutes is often enough for a relaxed set of couple photographs, although we can adjust this around your plans, venue and preferences.

What happens if it rains?

We adapt. I can use indoor spaces, covered areas and short breaks in the weather, and we can return outside later if conditions improve. Rain may change where photographs happen, but it does not prevent the day from being documented properly.
